CC-32 Corellian Cutter, Hangar Landing ( Rendering Compositing )

Naturally, I wanted to create an artwork that pays tribute to the visionary work of Ralph McQuarrie and Colin Cantwell. Both of these legendary artists shaped the very soul of Star Wars with their iconic artworks and imaginative concepts. McQuarrie’s ethereal, painterly approach brought a sense of wonder and depth to the universe, while Cantwell’s innovative engineering and bold, futuristic shapes laid the foundation for the iconic ships and vehicles we know today.

The more I study their work, the more I realize how much they’ve influenced not just Star Wars, but the entire science fiction genre. Studying and re-creating the styles of these artists is an interactive way to learn from these masters and to carry their legacy forward.
